Globe Progress: gold in the back of the shed

There's $16,000 worth of gold hidden at the back of this shed at Globe Progress near Reefton. Crushed and separated, this dark-coloured powder is all that remains of quartz sandstone collected by truck out of Globe pit. The ore concentrate is transported to Macraes for electro-chemical processing to win the gold. More photos
